**Dealing Of Cards In Indian Rummy**

A toss is made at the beginning of each game to decide which player will deal cards. Then a wild Joker is selected randomly from the closed deck and 13 cards are dealt to each player. The first card from the remaining cards is placed face up to form an open deck, while the remaining cards are placed face down to form a closed deck

Each player has to arrange all the 13 cards in his/her hand in proper sequences and/or sets. On his/her turn, each player has to pick a card from either the closed deck or the open deck and discard one of his cards to the open deck. The player who arranges all his/her cards in valid sequences and/or sets first wins the game.

**What Are The Basic Concepts In Indian Rummy?**

There are two basic concepts in Indian Rummy:

Sequence: A sequence in Indian Rummy is made up of 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, A?-K?-Q?-J? is a group of consecutive cards of the same suit, so it is a sequence. Sequences are one of the most important aspect of the Indian Online Rummy game. A player needs to form two sequences including a pure sequence (a sequence in which no card has been replaced by a Joker) and another sequence or set to win a game.

Set: A set in Indian Rummy is made up of 3 or 4 cards of the same rank/value but different suits. For example, 7?-7?-7?is a group of cards of the same rank but different suits, so it is a set.

Jokers: Jokers (both wild and printed Jokers) play a special role in the Rummy game, they can replace any card to form sequences and sets!

**WHAT’S THE OBJECTIVE OF RUMMY GAMES ?**

The objective of the rummy games are very simple,as mentioned above, all the cards have to be arranged in proper sequences and/or sets. To win at Indian rummy, players need to form at least two sequences, out of which one must be a pure sequence (without a Joker replacing any card), and all the other cards must be arranged in sequences and/or sets.

**How To Win At Indian Rummy?**

Once a player fulfills the objective of the game, he/she has to discard one card out of the cards in his/her hand to the Finish Slot to declare the game. If it is a valid hand, he/she wins, with zero points, and the losing players get points equal to the total value of their unmatched cards.

**Some Important Points**

Maximum Points in a Game In 13-Card Rummy, a player can get a maximum of 80 points irrespective of the total value of the cards in his/her hand.

Wrong Declaration: If a player declares the hand without completing the objective or without forming correct sequences and/or sets, he/she is penalized with 80 points.

First Drop: A player gets 20 points if he/she drops out of the game on his/her very first turn without picking a card from the Open Deck.

Middle Drop: If a player drops out of the game at any time after his/her first turn, he/she gets 40 points.

Consecutive Misses: If a player misses three consecutive turns, he/she gets a middle drop and is automatically dropped out of the game.

Losing Players with a Valid Hand: Players who declare their combinations second and have a valid hand get 2 points. So, if you win a game against players who also have a valid hand, the losing players with valid hands lose by two points each.

Leaving the Table: You will get a middle drop of 40 points if you leave the table after picking a card.

**HOW TO CALCULATE POINTS IN RUMMY GAME?**

When playing online rummy , you win or lose a game based on the number of points you have scored. The winning amount or lost amount is calculated on the predefined value of the chips, i.e. the value of each point in rupees. The winner gets the total of the amounts lost by the other players at the table.

This is how a simple calculation of points in rummy can be done:

Winnings = Sum of the points of all the opponents X Value of each point in rupees rummylite Fee

Here is an example. Suppose 4 players play a game of rummy at a 160 table, with the chips valued at 2 each. A player wins the game and the three losing players lose by 20, 40 and 50 points respectively. The winnings will be calculated as follows:

2 x (20+40+50) =220.

The amount won is credited to the winner account immediately after deducting the applicable rummylite fee.
